Neurospheres: a potential in vitro model for the study of central nervous system disorders

چکیده
Neurogenesis was believed to end after the period of embryonic development. However, possibility obtaining an expressive number cells with functional neuronal characteristics implied a great advance in experimental research. New techniques have emerged demonstrate that birth new neurons continues occur adult brain. Two main rich sources these are subventricular zone (SVZ) and subgranular hippocampal dentate gyrus (SGZ) where neural stem (aNSCs) ability proliferate differentiate into mature cell lines. The cultivation neurospheres is method isolate, maintain expand (NSCs) has been used extensively by several research groups analyze biological properties NSCs their potential use injured brains from animal models. Throughout this review, we highlight areas type culture applied advantages limitations using model studies for neurological clinical scenario.

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
ADENOSINE IN THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM
Besides being a metabolite of nucleotides like ATP, adenosine is a mediator of neuronal function in the central nervous system. Its actions are mediated by at least three extracellular receptors. In this review different aspects of adenosine such as biosynthesis, release, inactivation and its receptors are discussed. It also covers pre- and postsynaptic effects as well as postreceptor mecha...
متن کاملO 14: Differentiating Demyelinating Disorders of the Central Nervous System – a Focus on Multiple Sclerosis and Neuromyelitis-Optica Spectrum Disorders
Significant advances have been made in diagnosis and therapy of demyelinating disorders of the central nervous system. The most common entities of this disorders in adults – multiple sclerosis and neuromyelitis optica were initially thought to be different phenotypes of more or less the same disease. During the last ten years, this view was subsequently changed and the term neuromyelitis ...
